Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.
- Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
- Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
- May responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing.
- May direct and lead the work of others.
- May manage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities.
- Create spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed.
- Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls.
- May cover the reception desk when required.
- Calendar management, schedule appointments, update calendars and arrange staff meetings.
- Coordinate and maintain privileging and credentialing process for physicians.
- Process and maintain credentialing for all physicians, nurse practitioners, and any other positions requiring credentialing.
- Responsible for development of Governing Body Quarterly Report.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Two (2) years administrative secretarial experience, preferably in a medical or behavioral health field. Knowledge of OBHL and JCAHO rules and regulations. Demonstrate good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work.
