    DEFINITION: Under general supervision, provides administrative support and assistance for the Executive Director of Human Resources within the Sunnyside Unified School District.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    TASKS:
    Responsible for maintaining a sensitive, high level of confidential administrative support to the Executive Director of Human Resources.
    Responsible for processing unemployment claims.
    Responsible for processing emergency certification.
    Responsible for certified and classified fingerprinting procedures.
    Assists Director with employee time cards.
    Serves as department liaison.
    Prepares materials for administrators and District personnel as needed.
    Compiles information and prepares forms and reports.
    Generate and distribute periodic personnel reports.
    Monitor certification status of certified employees.
    Maintains and updates paperwork and files.
    Controls incoming/outgoing telephone calls.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
    Knowledge of District policies and procedures.
    Knowledge of daily human resources operations.
    Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software programs.
    Skill in the use of a personal computer.
    Skill in organizing schedules and meetings and preparing letters and reports.
    Skill in communicating with the public effectively
    Skill in following oral and written instructions.
    Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent sitting, bending, repetitive motion, attention to detail and lifting up to 20 pounds.

    QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent, and three (3) years of related experience in a human resources office. Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District.

    Depending on the needs of the District, some incumbents in this class must be able to demonstrate fluency in both Spanish and English as a condition of employment.

    Salary Grade: 15 Hourly Pay: $15.50 Hours per Day: 8 Days: 260
    Start Date: 2020/2021 School Year
