Bodybuilding.com is seeking an exceptional and passionate Executive Director, Creative and Brand to lead and create innovative marketing campaigns that drive engagement across all of our channels. The ideal candidate would be a creative visionary with the ability to craft best-in-class marketing campaigns that connect with the Bodybuilding.com customers and community. This creative leader would manage all brand, marketing, and copy assets across all channels and departments such as HR, Marketing, Product Design, Store Team, Digital Publishing (editors), Video Production, User Experience, Interface, and more is paramount.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for creating compelling on-brand, on-strategy creative work for internal and external marketing channels
  • Provide Creative team clear communication, leadership, and motivation to produce high-level creative solutions
  • Work with Video Production, Marketing, User Experience and other departments to help unify and strengthen the brand style companywide
  • Responsible for mentoring and leading assigned creative staff, maintaining consistent creative quality and a high standard of excellence
  • Provide career path direction and development guidance for creative staff on an on-going basis
  • Manage copywriting, ensuring consistent tone and voice in collaboration with Editorial and Community team
  • Manage visual restoration of archives of existing content
  • Actively participate in assigned new business development efforts, leading creative teams and developing client response materials
  • Work directly with executive leadership, channel managers, project managers, user experience leads, and technical directors on assigned projects
  • Actively involved in hiring and assisting in staff reviews and recommends promotions/salary adjustments based on structured performance assessments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Recognized expertise developing strategic creative solutions for a variety of clients
  • Strong people management and coaching skills necessary to provide clear creative direction and to motivate and inspire creative teams
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Expert knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process, including providing clear creative direction, giving timely and helpful coaching to improve creativity, and producing cost-effective and timely work
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills which foster and develop existing and new departmental relationships
  • Ability to thrive and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple daily deadlines

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 4 years' experience in editorial content management or related field
  • 10+ years professional design experience relating to print collateral, web design, branded environments, packaging, apparel, and/or presentations
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Significant experience in managing creative teams and processes
