Donor Network of Arizona is offering Experienced Organ Recovery Coordinators a $10,000 sign on Bonus!

The Organ RecoveryCoordinator:
As an Organ Recovery Coordinator (ORC) you will beresponsible for directing, overseeing, implementing, and maximizing the organdonation and procurement process in collaboration with the advisor on call(AOC), donation and family advocate (DFA), hospital staff, physicians, andmedical director as needed.
The ORC is responsible for responding to heartbeating ventilated referrals and assessing organ donor suitability. Forpotential organ donors, the ORC is responsible for overseeing family approachregarding donation and obtaining informed consent, in collaboration with DFAstaff if available, as well as performing the medical and social historyinterview. Also, informing the donor family of donor designation and providingsupport to the family to proceed with the donors wishes. This includescollaborating with hospital staff to determine appropriate timing for familycounseling and approach.
The ORC is responsible for donor management,meeting donor management goals, allocation of organs, medical-legal activitiessurrounding death-neurological or cardiovascular, medical examiner consent,compliance with hospital policies, local, state, and federal requirements, aswell as overseeing organ recovery and preservation. Maintaining donor records,assisting hospital development with post-donor hospital communication, providingdonor family support, and communication in conjunction with donor familyadvocate services.
The ORC is responsible for facilitating organoffers to transplant centers. In addition, is responsible for hospitaldevelopment and professional education.
On-Call Responsibilities:
1. Shares 12-hour "on-call" responsibility with other organrecovery coordinators as determined by on-call schedule.
2. Ability to fulfill all on-call obligations; case work upto 24 consecutive hours in levels of high donor/referral activity.
3. Owns or has unlimited access to a motor vehicle while oncall.

1 year as anOrgan Recovery Coordinator
Excellent Human relations

Flexibility with schedule: unpredictable (on call)
Ability to handle high pressure situations
Strong work ethic with high adaptability skills
Stand or walk for a long period of time
Clerical/Administrative Skills required: Telephones, memos,medical records, research, scheduling.
Moderate physical effort (move/lift/carry up to 25 pounds)
Critical care skills
Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree ,RN, EMT-P, RRT or other health carecertification with 2 years prior organ recovery experience, or completionof an approved educational program in donation sciences.
Minimum Experience:
1-2 of critical care or 2 years of organ recovery, orcompletion of an approved educational program in donation
