ASU Facilities Development and Management (FDM) maintains and services all university-owned property, and develops and constructs innovative and sustainable facilities. This position is located at the ASU California Center in Los Angeles, CA.
This position requires possessing and maintaining a valid US Driver's License of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment with an acceptable driving record of 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39 month period.
Must pass pre-employment physical examination post offer of employment.
This position will require the successful candidate to work outside of the posted work schedule (including nights and weekends) based on department needs.
Job Description:
$60,000- $65,000 (based on experience)
ASU California Center (Los Angeles) , Facilities Management, is seeking a Facility Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for all employees, students and visitors. This role involves coordinating facility & event services, managing service requests, supporting maintenance staff, handling vendor relationships to maintain building systems and equipment, assist operations team with event setup, dispatching, deploying resources, and following up on work orders and safety standards. This role ensures that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards through effective coordination, quality control, and communication with internal and external facility operations teams.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm (this position may require the applicant to work outside of the posted work schedule based on program need.
Desired Qualifications:
· Must have three years (3) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
· Proficiency in facilities management software or being familiar with one, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic budgeting principles.
· Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations is a plus.
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and lifting up to 50 pounds. Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and three years (3) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Driving Requirement:
This position may require driving. Employee must possess a valid US Driver’s license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.
