FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

REPORTS TO: Branch Director - Yuma

DIVISION: Operations

DIRECT REPORTS: N/A

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Specialist Janitorial will be under the general supervision of the Branch Director and will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility to include routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all buildings, grounds and equipment. The Facilities Specialist will be responsible for conducting routine inspections around the facility to ensure that all spaces are sanitary and in good condition to promote and ensure a safe and high-quality work environment.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

  • Maintains in operating condition the plumbing, electrical systems, cooling and heating systems in the assigned facility

  • Completes all necessary general repairs to buildings

  • Complies with warranty requirement on all service and equipment

  • Promotes SQA standards, follows and promotes company policies and procedures

  • Complies with and enforces all safety standards as required by OSHA regulations

  • Provides preventative maintenance

  • Cleans floors by mopping, waxing, vacuuming, dusts surfaces, empties trash cans, scrubs toilets and changes out linens

  • Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in facilities maintenance or house cleaning

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS

  • Knowledge of general commercial/public facilities maintenance
  • Ability to understand and work with different cleaning products and tools
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while multi-tasking and prioritizing assigned duties
  • Ability to articulate for giving, serve as an ambassador, engage in relationship building and promote philanthropy

WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING

  • Travel between BGCAZ Branches, schools and community sites may be required at times
  • Work is performed at Branch location
