Facilities Technician - Carpentry (Effective 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR)
Job Description
SUMMARY
Maintains, builds and repairs a variety of wooden structures and furniture. Coordinates activities of other trade shops, building engineers and subcontractors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Four years of skilled carpenter experience.
Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
General mechanical and electrical knowledge.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and lift test.
Valid Arizona Drivers license
MVReport - showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Classification: Blue Collar
FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
