Position Summary |
Under limited supervision, manages all aspects of the integrated facility operations and services of the Department of Physics & Astronomy. Coordinates the operations, maintenance, and housekeeping of the department's various facilities with a multi-trades workforce internal and external to UNM. Responsibilities also include shipping and receiving, inventory, space utilization, vehicles, records, and safety. Involved in planning and coordinating capital improvement projects.

Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Interfacing with maintenance personnel and contractors to manage the plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and physical systems of a complex facility Materials handling, shipping and receiving, inventory, surplussing procedures, documentation, record keeping, space utilization, vehicle management Chemical, radiation and general building safety Assisting with planning and implementation of capital improvements |
