Please note: this is not a remote position. Program will have offices in the North Central & North Inland Regions of San Diego.


Join our new, creative, enthusiastic team of dedicated and passionate individuals committed to helping Dads become the best parents they can be! Empowered Fathers Program provides educational workshops, supportive groups, case management, community events, and educational training for Fathers and the community. We work closely with custodial and non-custodial fathers to understand ACEs and how to actively build Protective Factors for their children that include building trusting, consistent relationships, resiliency, and safe and nurturing environments.

As a team member, you would become certified in the 24/7 Dads curriculum to engage Fathers and community members effectively. Additionally, you will be trained on ACEs and Protective factors to successfully lead workshops that teach hands-on interventions and support to Community members and Fathers in the North Inland and North Central Regions of San Diego.

Primary Responsibilities:

*Participate in all required training and exhibit expertise, knowledge, and in-depth understanding of training and facilitation concepts and engagement strategies

*Participate and become certified in 24/7 Dad and train incoming Father Advocates on curriculum and concepts.

*Plan and lead community events for community members

*Engage, support, and educate fathers on parenting, ACEs, and protective factors using evidence-based practices

*Lead engaging and inclusive groups, workshops, and activities for fathers using the 24/7 Dad curriculum

*Lead ongoing engaging and inclusive groups for community members and fathers on Beating ACEs and increasing protective factors.

*Partner with informal and formal leaders in the community to increase awareness of ACEs, and Protective Factors and market the Empowered Fathers Program

*Flexibility, ability to work successfully as a team member or independently

*Identify and coordinate with community resources and public resources to enhance and support fathers' ability to be engaged, knowledgeable, and connected with supportive resources

*Document tasks, referrals, activities, and outcomes as the program and county contract dictates.

*Ability to successfully multitask, manage competing demands, effectively problem solve, and be solution and strength-focused.

*Ability to think creatively to continually connect and effectively engage fathers who struggle with mental illness, substance abuse, and poverty.

*Complete all required county and agency paperwork with accuracy before the due dates.

*Other duties as assigned

Required:

-Spanish speaking

-reliable transportation

-2 years working with fathers and or families

Strongly encouraged:

-Lived experience

-Familiarity with North Inland and North Central regions and communities of SD

-Experience with children, infancy through 18

-BA/BS degree

Beginning salary range is $20.00-24.00/hr depending on education, experience, language abilities


Schedule:

· 6-8 hour shifts

· Afternoon and Evening shifts

· Monday to Friday

· Weekends as needed
