Job status - Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.50 - Hourly

You can make meaningful contributions that impact our nation. We are looking for outgoing people with a background in customer service, restaurants, retail, sales, and other public facing positions to conduct interviews that will produce data for our clients. If you are self-motivated, this position will allow you to engage with all types of people in your area by asking them to become a part of our AmeriSpeak panel project.

Work is part-time, temporary, and flexible. Field Representatives usually work 20-25 hours per week, primarily 3-5 evenings per week, including one weekend day. The most effective representatives devote 4-6 hours per shift on the days they work.

????????Own your workload. You will work on your own, paying close attention to details and making sure all data is appropriately recorded. You will still be part of a team sharing accurate and thorough data reports with colleagues in a timely fashion. You will also report to your field managers on a regular basis with the thorough and detailed data you have collected. (NORC will outline data quality expectations during training. Field representatives will be expected to meet or exceed these data quality targets.) Our NORC researchers use the information you collect to learn more about how our world works.

Field Representatives will call and visit households in an attempt to get them to join our AmeriSpeak National Panel. AmeriSpeak members receive 2-3 invitations per month to complete surveys online or via phone on a variety of topics such as health, education, and politics. Respondents will be compensated for their time.

For your safety as a NORC representative and the people who you are contacting in person, NORC will require proof of vaccination for COVID-19 before beginning the project.

NORC will provide online paid training to ensure you have the tools you need to be a successful field representative. Once training has been completed, you will start interviews and data collection.

We expect the work to continue until the end of 2021. Those who are successful will be asked to work on other studies launching in early 2022. These studies will each least 6-12 months.

Present evidence of identity and authorization to work in the United States (I-9 documentation).

Have a valid drivers license with unlimited use of an automobile in working condition, and present proof of auto liability insurance. (Exceptions can be made for applicants from major urban centers.)

Attend paid online training sessions.

Have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Ability to carry a tablet, survey documents, and supplies.
