The Financial Analyst - Net Revenue is responsible for financial modeling on various financial systems as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. This position requires the ability to produce efficient spreadsheets supporting analysis and must be able to work with all types of individuals including management and communicate with clarity and confidence. This position will coordinate the input and analysis of patient financial data from Epic into the Crowe RCA financial application. Responsible for developing and maintaining reports and analytics to support journal entries posted to the General Ledger during month end close.

Position Responsibilities:

• Process data in the financial system quarterly including adding new data elements as necessary. Work with internal staff and vendor to problem solve and resolve issues with follow-up audit and test results.
• Identify the facilities and their departments that have the largest variances and research the reasons for the differences. Identify the top cost saving opportunities by facility and begin the process for facility improvement.
• Prepare financial analysis using appropriate tools such as Excel, Access, etc. related to various business ventures and future strategies.
• Review biweekly productivity reports and prepare schedule of possible problem areas.
• Update Decision Support costs and maintain system integrity.
• Functions as a resource by sharing knowledge and providing analysis and support to team and management as appropriate. Collaboratively shares in the responsibility of achieving organizational and departmental goals.
• Possesses a self-directed ability to work through financial questions related to data. Has the ability to analyze financial business performance, understands components of profit and/or loss, and recommends opportunities for improvement. Has the ability to represent financial information in a user-friendly manner that demonstrates the key message. Has the ability to handle confidential details while exercising good judgment and discretion.

• Calculate/ review Accounts Receivable reserve rates to identify trends and risk areas using the Crowe RCA Application

• Create and maintain Accounts Receivable journal entries for posting to the General Ledger

• Perform post close analysis using Net Revenue reporting analytics for system financial leaders

• Research Net Revenue impacts resulting from front end Revenue Management policy and procedure changes

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Minimum Experience Requirements
  
  • Position requires one year experience in a financial analyst role in the health care field with computer system knowledge, preferably in decision support
