Position Summary:

The Financial Systems Manager will manage the automation and workflow from various subsystems to the Banks core system, general ledger and reconciliation system. This would include several lending subsystems, third party investment and deposit interfaces, payroll, regulatory reporting and wire systems.

Position Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Responsible for the integration and automation of data flow between various systems. This would include managing the automation design, building of files and setup of processes for information to flow from one system to another.
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple divisions to investigate automation opportunities and assist with process design and documentation, manage integration and training
  • Perform system administrator role for various accounting related systems
  • Responsible for audit requests related to system administrator
  • Perform certain general ledger account reconciliations through reconciliation system
  • Assist with month-end close procedures.
  • Assist with document requests and preparation for audits / exams.
  • Assist with implementation and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures as it pertains to systems and automated procedures.
  • Serves as a backup for other positions within the accounting department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in either finance or accounting with an emphasis in financial systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Must be comfortable communicating with management across all divisions.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures and an understanding of relevant computer programs.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, analytical, self-motivated and possess a team attitude.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Six Sigma certification a plus
  • SQL query and report writing experience.
  • Must have a willingness to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job and business.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to be the glue between the financial and IT departments.
