Position Summary |
The University of New Mexico, College of Population Health (COPH) invites applications for a Fiscal Services Tech. Founded in 2016 as a response to New Mexicos dire need to address health concerns among the states various communities, the College of Population Health is the second college of its kind in the U.S., and the first to offer a Bachelor of Science in Population Health degree. This position: * Tracks and reconciles $5 million in unrestricted and restricted indices, assists with budget preparation, projections, and reports. * Posts and monitors routine labor distributions and budget, revenue, expense journal entries in the University's financial system. * Prepares and processes fiscal transactions including internal purchase requests, POs, reimbursements, and invoices for payments. Reviews purchasing, travel, and personnel transactions for availability of funds, accuracy, coding and distribution of account numbers in adherence to funding regulations and university policy. * Responds to a range of inquiries regarding financial transactions; researches and resolves problems. * Prepares time sheets, including overtime and shift differential calculations; maintains leave and payroll records, as appropriate to operational requirements. * Generates and processes graduate assistantship contracts, student hiring transactions, and professional services contracts. * Performs miscellaneous job-duties as assigned.See the Position Description for additional information. |

Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
