Floor Care Tech

$1,250 Hiring Bonus

General Description of Duties: Performs custodial and janitorial floor care duties utilizing custodial maintenance equipment, including, but not limited to, wet/dry vacuum, bacpac vacuum, floor scrubber/buffer, carpet extractor and floor machines. Performs minor repairs and assists in the maintenance of the facilities. Performs striping, waxing, buffing, dust mopping, and damp mopping of floors and carpet care as scheduled; cleans buildings including offices, hallways, meeting rooms and classroom; assists in the maintenance of floor care equipment as needed; cleans, sanitizes and restocks restrooms; delivers supplies and materials as needed. Assists in setup and removal of materials and equipment for special events; moves furniture and equipment; removes trash from buildings; secures buildings as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Floor care experience required. Two years custodial-work experience preferred. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must pass TB test and background check and drug screen. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM drivers license, and Agency insurable driving record. Must have strong attention to detail and quality, and the ability to apply them. Must be flexible and able to accept change in schedule and assignment, and have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed. Must be able to remain on feet for approximately 90% of the workday. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a frequent basis. Must be able to operate equipment (vacuums, buffers, extractors, etc.) continuously for several hours at a time. Must be able to climb ladders for cleaning purposes. May be required to pass suitability check by the Government Protective Services and be required to be able to obtain a security clearance. Job Type: Full-Time, shift is Monday thru Friday 3:00pm to 12:00am hours may vary

Pay: From $16.20 per hour
