Forgiveness Coordinator

Prestamos CDFI, a division of Chicanos por la Causa, is an award winning CDFI that

participated in the 2020 and 2021 Paycheck Protection Program. As part of this program, small

businesses were able to acquire forgivable loans through the SBA if they utilize the funds

correctly and apply for forgiveness. The Forgiveness Coordinator role is critical in helping these

small businesses successfully apply for their loan forgiveness. This is a one-year position,

benefits eligible.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

? Supports Prestamos PPP borrowers with applying for forgiveness online

? Provides high quality customer service and light technical assistance in utilizing our

technology portal Spark

? Actively communicates with borrowers on deadlines and program requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

? Basic understanding of the Paycheck Protection Program

? Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

? Strong organization and time-management skills, attention to detail

? Ability to work independently without consistent supervision

? Ability to coordinate with multiple point of contact (internal and external)

? Ability to work under pressure and execute in a fast-paced environment

? Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

? Utilize our technology software to manage forgiveness applications

? Phone and email outreach to customers updating them on deadlines to apply for

forgiveness

? Educating clients on documentation necessary to apply for forgiveness

? Utilize best practices to determine eligibility and make forgiveness recommendations

? Send and ensure Docusigns are returned from customers

? Performs other duties as assigned

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION

Employee will be expected to participate in continuous learning, competency building and

maintenance of competency skills.
