Job Description:

Provides a range of mental health counseling services to patients in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting to assist with continued stabilization and obtaining useful community resources. Typical duties include conducting therapy intake assessments, developing personalized care plans, assisting families in understanding the implications and complexities of the mental health diagnoses and available resources, and working with an interdisciplinary team to create a safe step-down plan for continuity of care. Provides individual, group, and family therapy to meet the social and emotional needs of patients and their families. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision, and typically reports to a senior case manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Requires an active Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Experience in the field or in a related field is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):

1. Current/Active Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) AND/OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
2. AHCA Level II Background Screening
3. Basic Life Support
4. Care of the Aggressive Patient (COAP/MOAB)

Specialized Skills (Preferred):

1. Counseling experience in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or with the chronically mentally ill
