DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

The Gaming Compliance Inspector is responsible for maintaining the integrity and regulatory standards of all
class II and class III gaming owned and operated by the Gila River Indian Community. This includes but is not
limited to gaming devices, gaming systems, kiosks, software, bingo, and table and card game variations. The
Gaming Compliance Inspector does this through required audit, ?eld certification and reporting standards as
enforced by the provisions of the Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal 7 State Gaming Compact and its Appendic : .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


- Ensure that gaming device compliance, security, and integrity is maintained through field compliance testing,
verification, inventory, and certification of all Class II & Class III gaming devices and systems, kiosks,
software and associated equipment in the Casinos.

- Must be able to understand the application of regulatory requirements for certification and testing in order to
interpret and identify discrepancies to immediately report and resolve any findings.

- Execute compliance gaming device audit, which entails random machine testing, data verification, and
compiling information to maintain accurate detailed records.
0 Must correctly compile data, maintain and update the departments computerized database upon completion
of the audits.

- Summarize findings and management response in a clear and concise written report, which includes corrective
action taken to prevent recurrence of findings and meet compliant resolutions.
0 Conduct or ' n field level technical repairs of all Class II & Class II gaming for electronic gaming devices,
software and a: sociated equipment.

- Tasked with verifying device settings and confirming devices are accurately configured to original certified
settings.

- Responsible for reviewing accuracy of test results prior to being released for play.

- Responsible for certification of all bingo systems, table and card game installations, modifications or
conversions prior to being released to the public.
0 Must have the ability to apply the regulations governing the requirements to conduct field certifications,
identify discrepancies and recommend resolutions.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:Perform all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the Arizona State Gaming
Compact, the mission statement and objectives of the Gila River Indian Community, as well as established
policies, procedures, and controls.
Maintain an accurate inventory of software for all gaming devices and equipment that is received, removed,
replaced or destroyed.
Maintain a working knowledge of casino operations and relevant gaming issues, regulations and Tribal
Minimum Internal Control Standards.
Analyze procedures performed and makes recommendations to the Chief of Inspectors/ Compliance
Supervisor on proper procedures or changes to established procedures for the Compliance department.
Serve as a resource for casino departments in addressing gaming device compliance issues.
Must be able to interact with Gila River Indian Gaming Enterprise staff and executive, Gila River Gaming
Commissioners and staff, Arizona Department of Gaming staff, and posses the ability to interact with all
levels of personnel as well as the public.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees,
Community Officials and the general public.
Must be able to present a professional attitude and demeanor when dealing with the public and gaming
personnel.
Must be able to apply knowledge and basic skill regarding slot gaming devices, slot management control
units, blackjack gaming devices, poker gaming devices, kiosk redemption devices, computer use and
computer maintenance,
Must pos, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding (or ability to acquire within one year) of
Gaming Commission an Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules
relevant to their responsi lities, such as the following:

Must have the ability to recognize non-compliant conditions prior to violation occurring.
Must have the ability to ensure identification of violations of policies and procedures by Gaming Operation
personnel.
Must have intermediate skill in the use of personal computers, tablets, smart phones, scanners, copiers,
Microsoft Office Software, email, Adobe PDF, VPN (Virtual Private Networks), and Compliance specific
hardware and software.
Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
and effectively present information one-on-one to customer, client, and other employees of the organization.
Must have the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s,
and perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume, and
distance. As well as to calculate figures and amounts such as discount percentages and interest.
Demonstrate the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
form.
Ability to learn, understand and apply regulatory requirements.

- Must comply with other duties as directed by the Executive Director. Chief of Inspections, or Compliance
Supervisor.RE! ZUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years experience working in regulatory or gaming
operations or any combination ofeducation. training and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform
the functions of the position.Associates degree preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
All Gaming Commission employees must be State certi?ed (includes a full background check) as a requirement
of the Gaming Compact and Tribally licensed as a condition of employment. [State certification and Tribal
Gaming License are to be renewed an an annual baxixjRequired to obtain a Tribal Operators permit. Valid state drivers license with a current proof of driving record
for the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record must be
submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission of the
