DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
Under general supervision, the Gaming Inspector Supervisor is responsible for the guidance and supervision of
the Gaming Inspectors daily operational duties, and professionally re?ects the Office of the Chief Inspector
through the enforcement of the Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal-State Gaming Compact and its Appendices,
Minimum Internal Controls (MICS), Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), the National Indian GamingCommission (NIGC) and other pertinent regulations promulgated by the Gila River Gaming Commission
(GRGC),

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


- Plan, prioritize, sign, and supervise the day-to-day operations of Gaming Inspectors.

- Prepare, process, and maintain a variety of written reports pertaining to assigned activities, e.g. daily activity
reports,0 Review incident and other work product of the Gaming Inspector to ensure accuracy and timely completion;
provide guidance and instruction when corrections are necessary.

- Assists in the direct training of Gaming Inspectors, by providing daily instructions for all new hires as well as
any training of regulatory updates to all Gaming Inspectors as mandated by the Chief Inspector, Deputy
Director, or Executive Director.

- Monitors the performance of Gaming Inspectors and completes annual performance evaluations.

- Coordinates the needs of the Gaming Commission to create an effective shift schedule; approves and submits
time sheets.
0 Reports to the Tribal Gaming Office any failure by the Gaming Facility Operator to comply with an of the
provisions of the Tribal-State Gaming Compact, Gaming Ordinance, and any other applicable laws and
ordinance of the Tribal, State, or Federal agencies.
0 Draft policy and participate in policy development review meetings.
0 Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Knowledge in the sources of information and laws governing the use and release of gaming information.

- Thorough understanding and knowledge of all Class II and Class III gaming activities and Gaming Minimum
Internal Controls Standards.

- Thorough understanding and knowledge of the IGRA, Tribal Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact and
Appendices, Polic' s and Procedures of Gaming and the management concepts of Gaming.

- Knowledge of basic law enforcement principles, practices and procedures.

- Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing
recommendations.

- Skill in writing and reviewing logical, detailed reports and preparing for permanent record.

- Ability to exercise sound judgement and make logical decisions as to the appropriate response to situations
while under pressure, while remaining in accordance with required rules, regulations, and policies.

- Ability to provide excellent customer service to customers, other departments and outside law enforcement
agencies,

- Ability to display professionalism, politeness, and good manners when dealing with co-workers, management,
and the public.

- Ability to work in a smoking environment; work environment consistent with a Gaming Casino in which the
noise level can be loud to very loud

- Ability to work shift work.

- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Associates degree or 60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university in Business, Law
Enforcement, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field and three (3) years
experience in casino operations or regulatory environment which involved gaming and/or inspection work
and which included one (1) year supervisory experience; Or

- Five (5) years experience in casino operations or regulatory environment which involved gaming and/or
inspection work and which included two (2) year supervisory experience.

All Gaming Commission employees must be State certified (includes a full background check) as a requirement of the
Gaming Compact and Tribally licensed as a condition of employment. [State certi?cation and Tribal Gaming License are
