Overall Job Objective

What Success Looks Like In This Job

• Report to the Programs Supervisor.
• Adhere to policy, procedures, and post orders.
• Attend required trainings and practice safety/security awareness.
• Utilize effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal, nonverbal, written, listening)
• Provide professional customer service.
• Promote a positive team atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other jail staff.
• Work closely with and take direction from the Programs Supervisor and GED Instructors.
• Must be certified as a Pearson Vue GED Proctor or be able to obtain certification upon being hired.
• Certification can take place at the Adams County Detention Facility test center.
• Must be able to learn the Pearson Vue software and work independently with the software.
• Testing takes place in-person with the inmates present in the room (no virtual testing).
• Work approximately 16 hours per week.
• Work with inmates of all ages and classifications (male and female).
• Prepare reports/statements when necessary.
• Work with inmates of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds.
• Provide structure in the classroom for testing, while also being supportive and encouraging.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum 21 years of age Ability to be assertive and self-motivated Must be able to read, write, and speak English with high proficiency

Must have a college degree in Education or related field. A valid Colorado Drivers License
