NEW HIRE SALARY RANGE: $48,000 - $55,000/year

POSITION SUMMARY: The Gift Processing & Engagement Information Coordinator is part of the Engagement and Communications team and is responsible for coordinating, processing, and managing accurate donation receipts and acknowledgements and ensuring that they are appropriately recorded in the organizations customer relations management system (CRM). This individual serves as a constituent records and contributions expert and promotes adherence to industry standard best practices for charitable contributions. Additionally, the Gift Processing & Engagement Information Coordinator will work closely with the Accounting team to provide necessary gift coding information and reconcile monthly revenue reports. This individual will be the organizations principal contact for the CRM including data integrity, reporting, maintenance, troubleshooting and field customization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage all aspects of donor database
  • Produce, record, and manage all elements of the donation receipting and acknowledgement process
  • Provide technical and data expertise to Engagement & Communications efforts
  • Develop and provide both standard and specialized reporting as requested by members of the Engagement & Communications team, as well as others across the organization
  • Ability to integrate expressed needs and feedback into processes and adapt systems to generate relevant, needed information
  • Support users at a variety of skill levels across the organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in a field related to non-profit, mental/behavioral health, fundraising, communications, social work, or similar field required.

EXPERIENCE: Background in computer science, non-profit organizations, mental health or human services preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Fundraising or non-profit environment.
  • Financial operations, record keeping, transaction inquiry and cash or cash-equivalent handling.
  • Familiarity with basic gift accounting principles, relevant IRS rulings, and charitable gift guidelines.
  • Knowledge of customer relations systems, Dynamics 365 a plus.
  • Experience with fundraising and relationship management database tools such as eTapestry, Raisers Edge, SalesForce or equivalent.
  • Understanding of professional fundraising ethics and codes of conduct.
  • A commitment to exceptional donor relations and stewardship.
  • Excellent verbal (phone) and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills including tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Agility with information management software including MS Word & Excel - ability to work with large and complex file banks, spreadsheets, and databases.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, telephone, and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, articulate goals and action plans, meet goals and deadlines. Must be able to work with and communicate with people from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call hours.
