Position Summary |
Within the UNM Health Sciences Marketing team, work primarily with The University of Mexico Hospital to develop complex graphic design/illustrations, motion graphics, content layout and multimedia for digital boards, displays and websites. The individual must be proficient in Adobe CC, tech-savvy and have the ability to develop polished and professional designs and layouts that clearly promote the institutions initiatives. The individual will focus primarily on creating content for digital boards installed in UNM Hospital for both internal and external audiences. The Sr Graphic Designer must have an ability to frequently produce fresh, exciting and brand-compliant layouts that highlight the clinical services, events, and recognition through animated elements, info-graphics, and engaging and meaningful icons and images. Duties also include collaborating with the communications team on written content to align layouts, imagery and messaging. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and eager to be a part of a small energetic team. This person is a committed team player who works well under administrative direction and can take initiative and prioritize assigned projects. Ability to work on multiple project while meeting deadlines. This individual has an extensive portfolio and work experience that will highlight and promote creative skills and set them apart. Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Degree in graphic design. Experience working within a health system or university setting. 7+ years of experience in graphic design/advertising/marketing. Extensive experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects/Premiere Pro/Adobe Animate. Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with a high attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and with a team while meeting tight deadlines. Highly motivated and self-directed with strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Maintain professionalism while multi-tasking and prioritizing various projects. |
