DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Graphic/Web Designer will provide professional quality graphics, designs, layouts, and illustrations to
include the design, development, management, and support of various promotional material through multiple
advertisement tools. The Graphic/Web Designer will provide support to web based content, applications, and the
Accessing Choices in Education (ACE) Grant web based student portal/dashboard. This position is responsible
for interpreting the programs brand While creating high quality forms, prints, photos, and Videos which includes
creating and editing various types of documents, graphical elements, videos, and surveys for use in internal and
external client facing material. The Graphic/Web Designer will create and provide educational information
outreach material for the ACE Grant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, develop, and produce dynamic multimedia interfaces for the Accessing Choices in Education hub and
collateral material for the promotion of the ACEs web-based hub and program.Responsible for maintaining the GRIC ACE hub and website(s) through use of web and graphic design tools
and by providing accurate testing, maintenance, and support of site applications, enhancements and updates.
Assist in initiating and maintaining customer interactions and presentations.Coordinate and schedule production deadlines by participating in the creative process and execution of all
promotional pieces.Coordinate efforts with appropriate technical staff/department to resolve technical issues and assist with edits,
and/or in approving additions to the ACE hub.Assist in coordinating the advertisement and/or promotion of various events associated with the student hub,
service providers, and education department services and event.Help develop cross functional media strategy for the program and support improvement activities of content
quality and delivery; Help generate improvement ideas and integrate new technology to develop solutions and
improvements that align with customer expectations and grant objectives.Maintain up to date with revision controls as project services evolve and other components changes arise;
Support outreach liaisons and resolve day-to-clay service information problems and customer inquiries.
Maintain and generate reports on grant data, files, surveys, and feedback of service information.Participate in grant related meetings.
Perform other related duties as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:Knowledge in the process of print production, manual design, and manual layout.Proficient in HTML (i.e., CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, etc.) and print skills including
typography.Proficient in adobe/macromedia products (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, FreeHand, etc.).
Experience in project and team management leading a project from conception to implementation.
Ability to research, assemble and organize data.Ability to advise, make revisions, monitor progress, and be open to critique.Ability to coordinate multiple work groups in marketing, design, and development.Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., digital cameras, printers, scanners, tablets, etc.).Ability to work independently.Possess effective communication and written skills.Ability to provide monthly activity reports.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Officials
and the general public.Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design, Web Design, Graphic Arts,
Applied Design, or a closely related ?eld, and three (3) years experience in graphic design or website
creation/management which included illustration and website design/content management; ORHigh School diploma or GED and five (5) years experience in graphic design or website
creation/management which included illustration and website design/content management.Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design, Web Design Graphic Arts,
Applied Design, or a closely related field preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Required to obtain a Tribal Operators permit. Valid state drivers license with a current proof of driving
record for the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record
must be submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission
of the application.Copy of current Fingerprint Clearance Card must be provided when applying for this position.Required to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance as a condition of employment and must
continue to maintain throughout duration of employment. Background checks are required for positions that
involve regular contact with or control over Community Children in accordance with The Indian Child
Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, 25 US. C. Sections 3201 through 3210 and C.F.R. Part 63
