The group director of strategy will research, analyze, evaluate, design and recommend strategic direction for hospitals and Service Lines within Centura Health's Greater Colorado and Kansas Operating Group. The Group Strategy Director will be responsible for facilitating strategic planning for 3-5 hospitals, comprised of at least 500 beds and $3+ billion in gross annual revenue. This position will be responsible for working closely with hospital leadership to develop an interpretation and expression of the "Centura 2025" Strategic Plan for each assigned market. This position will report directly to the VP of Strategy, but with matrixed reporting relationships to assigned hospital COEs. This role will be viewed as a valued member of assigned hospitals' leadership teams, serving as a trusted advisor on important strategic matters such as service type, size and placement, new market expansion, capital proposals and facility planning, new program development, and physician workforce planning. In addition to supporting hospitals and submarkets, each Group Strategy Director will support one or more systemwide Service Line leadership dyads (an administrative director and an executive medical director) in strategic evaluation and strategy development for the areas of Heart, Neuroscience, Orthopedics and/or Oncology. In this manner, the position will require strong skills in working within complex and matrixed health systems and in managing through influence.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Master's in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field, preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in healthcare strategy, planning or business development.
  • Experience working with physicians on strategic program development.
  • Experience in analyzing complex datasets and developing recommendations.
  • Experience in developing population, market share, and use rate projections.
  • Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
