Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day food services operations and activities at the Preschool's programs within the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual completes daily menu planning worksheet; posts menus in the cafeteria and in each classroom and maintains a daily meal count log for all children served. Ensures department programs' are in compliance with all health and safety regulations. The incumbent oversees the daily cleaning of the kitchen and children's eating area/cafeteria and supervises the work of the Assistant Cook and substitute food service workers. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum three (3) years of related experience in managing a kitchen or working in a food line in a supervisory capacity is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Food Handler or Protection Manager's Certification by the Florida Department of Agriculture is required. Individual must possess CPR certification and knowledge of First Aid. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License, is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
