POSITION SUMMARY

The Health Center Screener will be primarily responsible for providing safe and quality care while screening temperatures for all Adelante Healthcare employees, patients, visitors, and vendors. The position will require the use of a touchless forehead thermometer for all individuals entering the Health Centers, making sure all are within the defined guidelines from the CDC, and requiring the use of a facemask (covering the mouth and nose).

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)
  • High School Diploma or GED from and accredited institution
  • Ability to use thermometer and any other required equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to read and write in order to communicate and give verbal instructions
  • Must possess problem solving skills and be able to resolve any issues in a logical and timely manner

POSITION REPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL

  • Screens/greets all persons (i.e. patients, visitors, vendors, and staff) entering the health centers by using a touchless thermal scanner while wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Relaying important information to all individuals entering the health centers
  • Distributing wrist bands to patients depending on their temperature reading (Green, Yellow, Red)
  • Ensures completion of COVID-19 Screening Log as necessary
  • Follows all proper guidelines and procedures for any person who has an unsatisfactory temperature or response to screening questions
  • Maintains patient, visitor, staff confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
  • Must be able to perform all job duties in a safe manner while following all company policies and procedures

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time when traveling to various clinic sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be subject to health hazards (contagious diseases, blood borne pathogens, etc.) when working in the clinic area.
