Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and womens services.
Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision leads complex corporate projects as assigned by the director/chief operating officer. Potential projects may cover multiple business areas of the corporation as well as multiple systems. Provides support and management for the various project lifecycle phases of the project, including defining scope, business requirements, reporting, testing, implementation, etc. Reports project status to the defined management team of the project as well as the direct line reporting. Works collaboratively with all stake holders of the assigned projects to assure defined metrics and results are achieved.

- Knowledge of multiple departmental health care areas
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints
- Experience working with cross functional teams while handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to breakdown complex problems into manageable goals
- Expert group facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams
Education/Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred
- Experience (Type & Length): 5 or more years of direct experience as a project manager in a healthcare setting leading projects with internal and external stakeholders
- Certification/Licensure: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Software/Hardware: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Other: Highly organized, analytical and an effective communicator at all levels
Clinical: Experience in a clinical setting as a nurse or paramedic preferred, but not required
