Summary: Responsible for carrying out newborn hearing screening tests on newborns and NICU babies at multiple hospitals in the Steward Network.

Responsibilities: Administer hearing screening tests using specified protocols and procedures to infants in the nursery and the NICU, scheduling follow-up diagnostic audiology appointments when indicated. Provide pre- and post-testing information to caregivers, and distribute appropriate information regarding follow-up procedures. Document hearing screening results in the medical record and as indicated by established protocols. Consult with program director and /or supervising audiologist regarding issues related to hearing screening results or interactions with parents.

Qualifications: Desire to work with newborns, their care givers, and medical staff. Provide own transportation. Experience in a hospital medical environment. Experience in an allied health profession.
