HIM Coding Specialist II
Health Information is seeking a candidate for a Full-Time position of Coding Specialist II. This on-site position is responsible for coding Medical, Surgical, Obstetrics, Newborn, claim review and other duties as assigned. Seeking a candidate with knowledge and understanding of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS. Knowledge and understanding of DRG and APC reimbursement principles along with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Must be a team player. Coding and/or health information management education required, with 1 year coding experience in an acute care setting preferred. RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CCA required or certification eligible with certification mandatory within the first 12 months.
