Position Summary:
Prepare surgical and cytological material for microscopic examination by pathologist in an accurate, efficient and expeditious manner within the limits of laboratory policy and procedure according to JCAHO, CAP and OSHA regulations. Prepare and maintain equipment according to established procedures. Provide technical assistance and training to pathology personnel as required.

Required Knowledge & Skills: HT/HTL (ASCP) registration or eligibility preferred. Recent experience in histology and immunohistochemistry preferred. Experience using Ventana Benchmark Special Stainer and ULTRA preferred.
Education: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree Preferred.
Experience: One to two years recent experience in histology and immunohistochemistry preferred. Experience using Ventana Benchmark Special Stainer and ULTRA prereferred.
Certification/Licensure: ASCP registration or eligibility preferred.
Software/Hardware: Experience with Meditech or Copath preferred.
