Our programming empowers and assists families in creating and implementing frameworks that lead to improved parent-child relationships, positive parenting practices, optimal child development, family safety, and increased knowledge of and access to community programs and services. Our Mission is to help at-risk children grow and develop to their full potential in nurturing families within a supportive community.
Position Summary
Under direct supervision of the Program Director and Program Manager,
· Supports prenatal/parental involvement in child’s development by using a therapeutic home based curriculum (nurture parenting and partners for healthy baby). Services are conducted in the community including client homes and facility settings.
· By providing an environmental assessment and intervention to improve individual and family interactions.
· Increase parental knowledge and reduce the risk of child abuse/neglect.
· Works collaboratively with clients including family members and caretakers, the PB&J treatment team, and other community providers.
· Provides case management in accordance with family needs and contributes to overall program goals.
· By maintaining extensive documentation and record keeping through progress notes.
· FIS will demonstrate extensive organizational skills by managing their own schedule and tracking billing hours.

Qualifications
The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in education, social services, human services or other related field. Bilingual preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Clear Criminal Records Clearance – required
- Development Specialist Certification – required within 6 months of hire
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification – required
- Defensive Driver Certificate – required if operating a PB&J vehicle
- Current Automobile Liability Insurance – required if transporting clients in personal vehicle
· Valid NM Driver’s license– required if transporting clients in personal vehicle
