Position Summary |
The Department of Dental Medicine seeks an HR Tech to prepare, manage and coordinate all department and division staff and faculty replacements, new hire requests and temporary part time/ volunteer faculty requests. The individual will administer the day to day provider and insurance credentialing and privileging activities for all dental providers. The individual will also serve as the department liaison with the Health Sciences Clinical Affairs, Health Sciences Faculty Contracts, UNM Human Resources, Credentials Verification Office, and Office of Clinical Contract Services. We seek a dynamic, highly organized individual who is interested in learning new systems and processes and can work independently but also take direction and work as a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a professional and positive attitude and communicate effectively with others. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills that will be utilized for a high volume of email and telephone communications with onsite leadership and other departments. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment is essential. Must be able to handle a workload that may be heavy at times and with competing priorities and deadlines. Must be highly organized with excellent time management skills and have the ability to track and follow up on all replacement hires, new hires, and follow-up on all credentialing and privileging packets for the department to include maintaining the currency, quality and accuracy of all dental provider credentialing and privileging data. The ability to compose memos and emails and to perform business math calculations on own is important and must have the ability to routinely create word documents and excel worksheets to organize, analyze and present data. Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
