Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Bachelors degree in Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related field Preference given to individuals who can demonstrate previous experience with: Familiarity with the basic principles of neurons, synaptic transmission Rodent models; animal handling, behavioral analysis, tissue processing Mammalian cell culture, western immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemistry Molecular biology recombinant DNA methodology, including subcloning DNA fragments, plasmid preparation and analysis Biochemical calculations (e.g., molarity, etc.) and preparation of solutions Making research presentations (i.e. a poster presentation at an undergraduate research forum, etc.) or publications (including abstracts) |
