Position Description
Performs specialized work in the planning, conducting and/or supervising of original research at TTUHSC. Responsible for participating in, planning, scheduling and/or supervising research projects and the interpretation of the results for publication. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Assists investigators with research project development: including preparation of human subjects applications and renewals. Development of research materials, study protocols and procedures, and assist with gran and budget development
  • Manages primary data collection, develop study related databases assist with statistical analysis
  • Collect and maintain all study related documents and information for regulatory purposes
  • Coordinate and supervise grant proposal preparation (rules and procedures) and implementation of ongoing projects
  • Assist with post award management including budget monitoring and preparation of progress reports
  • Assistance with writing and editing of proposals and manuscripts
  • Performs additional duties assigned by supervisor within the scope of position, following TTUHSC policies and procedures, in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree or specialized academic training beyond the Bachelor's level in a particular field of science or engineering equivalent to a Master's degree
  • One year research experience
  • Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof
