Position Description
Performs specialized work in the planning, conducting and/or supervising of original research at TTUHSC. Responsible for participating in, planning, scheduling and/or supervising research projects and the interpretation of the results for publication. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Organize and prepare tables and figures with statistical results for external investigators, presentations, and manuscript submission. Develop and maintain a library of statistical procedures for the management and analysis of clinical research data, typically using STATA and/or SAS statistical programming languages.
  • Develop and disseminate library of statistical methods, programming, or graphics (within or across statistical software) for the management and analysis of research studies.
  • Design, manage and evaluate protocols, sample selection, questionnaires, data collection forms, and spreadsheets for research studies.
  • Determine which statistical tests are most appropriate for proposed study designs and performing statistical analyses. Involve and interact in presenting scientific methods or journal articles relevant for data management, statistical analysis, epidemiology and bioinformatics.
  • Perform analysis and management of the projects initiated by biostatistics faculty.
  • Complete other duties assigned.
  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
