ABOUT THE JOB

Responsible for the development, implementation and administration of human resources policies, practices and programs aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of Clallam County Hospital District No. 1 (CCHD#1) healthcare services. Directs and performs human resources activities including risk management in the areas of safety, workers compensation and unemployment insurance, labor/employee relations and communications, training and development, recruitment and selection, HR and payroll information system, compensation and benefits administration, HR policies, EEO and regulatory compliance and other employee services as required. Oversees and participates in the Environment for Care, Medicare Compliance and Cultural Diversity programs. Participates in the community programs such as Healthcare Alliance and Workforce Development Council.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or closely related field strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will be taken into consideration. Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) a plus.

Training and Experience: Six or more years generalist HR experience with demonstrated professional level of expertise in the areas of safety, recruitment and selection, labor & employee relations and compensation benefits. Prior experience should include a leadership role in the development and implementation of HR services and programs. Prior health care experience preferred.
