Human Resources Generalist

Duties Include:

• Point of Contact: Serve as the primary resource for associates and managers, answering questions about payroll, benefits, policies, and company information
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Greet and assist job applicants, help match candidates to appropriate positions, process new hire paperwork including I-9s, background checks, and creating Marriott EIDs for new hires
• Employee Records: Maintain accurate employee records, ensure timely review and submission of HR documents for processing, and process employment verifications
• Employee Communications: Manage team communications including biweekly newsletter, bulletin boards and social media to enhance team culture and engagement
• Employee Recognition & Engagement: Track associate milestones (birthdays, anniversaries), design invitations and communications for recognition events, and provide logistical support for team celebration activities
• Compliance: Manage Workers' Compensation program, maintain OSHA logs, and respond to unemployment claims
• Spanish Support: Provide essential Spanish language assistance to applicants and associates, including translating communications
• Employee Housing Management: Oversee all aspects from assignments and move-ins to departures and inspections
• Other Support: Assist with team initiatives including training, report preparation, and administrative support

Location: The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Managed by East West Hospitality - Avon, CO

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $28-$29 / hour

Schedule: Typically Mondays - Fridays, 9am-5:00pm. Some weekend/evening hours may be necessary based on business needs.

With sharp time management, a passion for learning, and a balance of teamwork and independence, they drive success with confidence and adaptability. Additionally:

• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in guest service, office administration, or related functions is required.
• General HR experience in hospitality or a similar industry is a plus.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to understand and apply employment laws, technical procedures, and company policies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to correspond professionally and present information effectively.
