Summary: Under general supervision, incumbent(s) monitors and processes a variety of certified and classified personnel matters. Independently perform tasks directly related to recruitment, selection, and retention with professional and analytical decisions. Interacts and assists all personnel in regards to Human Resource Management functions. Participates in the preparation, maintenance and updating of a variety of personnel data, reports and files, maintains confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.

Essential Functions:

  • Posts and monitors open positions internally and externally through District approved Applicant Tracking Software.
  • Assists in the onboarding and selection process, for all employees, adhering to District policies and procedures.
  • Processes new hire paperwork and status change requests for classified and certified personnel at assigned sites. Ensures submitted paperwork is completed and required qualifications are satisfied prior to start of employment.
  • Notifies hiring supervisor of any discrepancies with the request or incomplete paperwork. Processes the employee information by entering pertinent information into the Human Resources information systems and distributing paperwork to appropriate area and/or department.
  • Determines new hire salary placement by reviewing and approving college credits on transcripts and levels of experience in accordance with Human Resources procedures, processing new hire salary placement, and notifies new hires of salary placement.
  • Schedule employees and participates in District orientation sessions, training sessions and other onboarding activities.
  • Provide administrative support, which includes but not limited to sorting records, coordinating meetings, preparing communication material, preparing personnel related Governing Board agenda items and other Human Resources related reports.
  • Monitors required certificates and fingerprint clearance cards. Ensures certified teachers meet the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requirements. Provides notices to certified teachers regarding deficiencies of certification requirements. Works with certified staff and supervisors to develop action plans to obtain appropriate certifications.
  • Monitors the processing of resignation paperwork and status change requests for employees. Ensures submitted paperwork is completed. Notifies hiring supervisor of any discrepancies with the request or incomplete paperwork. Processes the employee information by entering pertinent information into the Human Resources information systems and distributing paperwork to appropriate area and/or department.
  • Assist in areas of Professional Development and Certified Professional Growth.
  • Assists the Director of Human Resources with various related projects to include developing and implementing related methods and techniques.
  • Participates in recruitment activities to include organizing recruitment fairs and other recruitment events. Assists administrators with the interviewing of candidates.
  • Responds to all inquiries from assigned sites and general public in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of staffing related materials, including contracts, notices of employment, and other related items
  • Maintain a high level of professional ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. Verification of these required qualifications is necessary.

  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) prior to being hired.
  • One year of Human Resources or related experience.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources related laws and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

It is preferred that applicant possesses the following preferred qualifications; however, the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.

  • Associates degree in Human Resources or related field;
  • Five years of Human Resources or related experience.

  • Using computer software related programs;
  • Engaging and encouraging communication skills while interacting with supervisors, staff, students, etc. to exchange information.
