Position Summary

The University of New Mexicos College of Nursing is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Technician to join our team of professionals. The College of Nursing employs over 150 employees, including faculty and staff, and varying numbers of part-time faculty, on-call staff, working retirees, as well as undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral student employees. The successful candidate will demonstrate support for diversity, equity and inclusion as well as participate in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment. The Human Resources Technician will assist in the management of Human Resource transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within tight deadlines and guide transactions through completion
  • Maintaining confidentiality is essential
  • Process employee data utilizing an automated HR information systems and spreadsheets
  • Compose memos, emails and perform business math calculations
  • Adhere to UNM Policies and Procedures
  • Planning and coordination of onboarding
  • Recording meeting minutes as needed

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Previous management experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a dynamic fast paced environment
