Summary:

Steward Medical Group is looking for a compassionate and experienced registered nurse who has clinical experience with IV medication and through understanding of IV therapies and how to administer these therapies in a clinic setting. The Infusion Center offers outpatient non-oncology infusion services for patients requiring pharmaceutical and biological agents to treat their medical conditions, including but not limited to rheumatic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, glomerulonephritis, vasculitis, heart failure, asthma, osteoporosis, anemia, neurological disorders, and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:

The nurse will provide and coordinate infusion activities, including taking patient vitals, starting and accessing IV's in accordance with the treatment plan. The nurse will provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and clinical standards. The nurse will work independently with the support of clinical providers and administrative staff to ensure quality patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols and physician orders. The infusion nurse will also promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all member of the care delivery team.

Qualifications:

RN, BSN preferred, MA license required. Certified registered nurse infusion (CRNI) certification or Oncology nurse certification a plus. Current ACLA/BCLS certification required. Candidate must be proficient in placement, maintenance & removal of short peripheral catheters (SPC) for vascular access using aseptic technique.
