    JOB TITLE: Instructional Assistant -School Technology Liaison

    Job Goal:

    Working collaboratively with teachers to support and enhance the effective use of educational technology at the site level. Provide ongoing site-based professional development and level one technical assistance. The goal of this position is to develop a teacher-centered system of support by providing ongoing coaching.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma required

    • Proficiency with Google for Education Suite or willingness to learn

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    • Experience troubleshooting and using the Google Applications

    • Ability to troubleshoot basic technology problems.

    • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relations. Demonstrated and documented ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers is required.

    • Ability to create in-services, tutorials, and training classes

    • Valid Arizona driver's license required.

    • Must pass a fingerprint and background check.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

    1. Supports QCUSD vision, mission and goals.

    2. Participates in on-going training opportunities for the purpose of gaining and maintaining knowledge of educational technology and implementation.

    3. Deliver on-site educational technology workshops and one-on-one training as requested.

    4. Side-by-side coaching to support teacher learning and technology integration.

    5. Develop resources such as tutorials, instructional aids, and screen videos to support faculty

    6. Supports orientation sessions for faculty and students

    7. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

    8. Basic level one troubleshooting at the site level

    9. Provide classroom support with our keyboarding program to ensure all teachers meet their required allotted time. Motivate and encourage students to stay on pace and improve keyboarding skills.

    10. Facilitate Girls Who Code club at site

    11. Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Sites with SMART Labs

    In addition to the above responsibilities, sites with a SMART Lab will also be responsible for:

    1. Co-teach STEAM lessons with classroom teacher

    2. Setup and manage SMART Lab software and management system

    3. Organize, inventory, and monitor SMART Lab materials, lab equipment, and computers

    COMPENSATION: $18.11 - $21.37

    BENEFITS: As per District policy

    REPORTS TO: Director of Educational Technology and Innovation

    EVALUATION: Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.

    HOURS: 40 hours per week (M - F 7:30am - 4:00pm)

    CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
