    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

    2. Must be HQ Paraprofessional with Associate's degree of 60 college credit hours or pass ParaPro Exam.

    3. Ability to monitor and supervise small and large groups of students in a positive manner.

    4. Ability to follow directions and school procedures from the Principal and designated staff.

    5. Ability to operate general office machines.

    6. Ability to organize and to prioritize.

    7. Effective communicator and work cooperatively with others.

    8. Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations and rules.

    9. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

    10. Prefer First Aid and/or CPR certification.

    11. Prefer experience working with elementary level students.

    12. Must obtain IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and background clearance.

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 187 Days; 9 Months

    COMPENSATION: $15.43-$18.21

    BENEFITS: As per District policy

    REPORTS TO: Principal

    HOURS: Monday-Friday

    CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

    1. Works with individual students or groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the reading or math interventionist.

    2. Assists independent study, enrichment work and remedial work for the classroom.

    3. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as is expected of teachers.

    4. Participates in in-service training programs as required.

    5. Exercising positive problem solving behavior and conflict resolution skills.

    6. Adhering to the dress code appropriate for the site and job.

    7. Assisting with the supervision of students during emergency drills, and assemblies.

    8. Maintaining the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer being employed.

    9. Being flexible and performing other duties relating to general job function as assigned by the supervisor.

    10. Assist the teacher with evaluation of student progress in relations to established educational objectives.
