Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides patient care in the area of vascular surgery in hospital and outpatient settings
  • Instructs and supervises medical students and surgery residents
  • Performs vascular surgical procedures
  • Conducts clinical research and / or produce scholarship related to vascular surgery
  • Provides on-call coverage, as scheduled
  • Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
  • Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission
  • Ensures compliance and HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's statement of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Required Qualifications
  • M.D or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of ACGME-accredited integrated vascular surgery residency program or successful completion of ACGME-accredited general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship programs
  • Texas Medical License, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
