Major/Essential Functions
  • Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings
  • Provides patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Engages in research and scholarships, Participates in departmental, hospital and institutional committees
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program
  • Successful completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program
  • Texas licensure or eligible for licensure in Texas
