Department: Prevention Intervention and Behavioral Health
Location: Albuquerque
Salary: $1,844.80 Bi-Weekly
FT/PT Status: Reg Full Time

Job Description:

INTAKE/MIS MANAGER Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor or designee will accept and screen all referrals for the Community Engagement Program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Business or related field of study and demonstrated study plus three (3) years experience; or any combination of education and experience to equal 9 years.

Knowledge of community resources for behavioral health and social services programming and ability to make referrals for clients.

Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in the use of office and word processing software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) is preferred. Ability to quickly learn software specific to the department.

Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize, work under tight deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, organize time effectively, conduct web searches, and identify resources for projects.

Ability to work well with a team.

Ability to work non-traditional hours.

Ability to perform all works rapidly and accurately, meeting all deadlines when applicable.

JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies.

Strict adherence is required to all regulations concerning confidentiality.

Good general health: Bending, stooping, and/or lifting heavy objects (with or without assistance) is required on occasion during the process of troubleshooting individual workstations. Background to investigation to include fingerprinting will be required. TB Skin Test and Physical may be required every five years.

Travel may be required. Must submit proof of satisfactory car insurance under NM Motor Vehicle requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):

  1. Provide oversight and management of the established referral, screening and intake process for individuals referred through the Community Engagement Program.

  2. Work closely with all CET staff to ensure efficient response and service linkage to all referrals.

  3. Works with the Clinical Supervisor to link Secondary clients to appropriate services.

  4. Respond to after hours calls for CET.

  5. Responsible for providing immediate assessment of crisis situations and make appropriate referral to community based services for assistance.

  6. Coordinate services with the Clinical Supervisor/Manager and current staff conducting referral and triage to ensure referrals receive appropriate and immediate service.

  7. Responsible for all data gathering and reporting for the assigned program including working with the assigned external evaluator.

  8. Generates reports on a regular basis.

  9. Provide initial and ongoing electronic medical records training for staff using the EMR.

  • Coordinate services and troubleshooting issues with the YDI IT contractor (Systems MD) and provider of other required databases as needed.

  • Assist CET staff with data entry on client data, services, and outcomes when needed.

  • Provide quality assurance of all participant files on monthly basis to ensure proper maintenance by staff.

  • Consistently monitors all data entered in systems to ensure accurate and timely entry by EET staff.

  • Assists behavioral health staff with obtaining National Practitioner Identifiers (NPI) and getting Medicaid numbers for billing purposes.

  1. Assist in the intake process providing all relevant information to each referral.

  2. Will input all relevant data on the electronic medical record.

  3. Be responsible for the oversight of program compliance with HIPAA regulations to include attending training and providing training to site specific staff on these regulations.

  4. Participates in writing of reports and documentation of methods and procedures.

  5. Develops basic practical information system skills.

  6. May conduct analysis of data for reporting, grant writing and quality assurance purposes.

  7. Other duties as assigned.
