Salary/ Hourly Rate: $13.85 - $17.19 Hourly

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Intake Receptionist will assist the program or department within the Gila River Indian Community in carrying
out eligibility/intake functions by performing a variety of intake duties, including Visitor reception, assistance
with applications, eligibility assistance/assessment, scheduling and coordinating services as appropriate to the
respective program or department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Answer the telephone, take messages, and distribute accordingly.
0 Conduct intake procedures (i.e., review applications, request additional information if needed, verify
applicant identification).
0 Assist potential participants and customers by answering questions and may assist in providing eligibility
and core services.
Provide a variety of clerical services (faxing, copying, typing, and mail distribution).
Assist in the development of program forms and intake records.
Maintain service records, guest sign-in, phone log and fax records.
May assist in retrieving highly confidential records.
Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE. SKILL AND ABILITY:0 Knowledge of modern office practices, English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation; basic arithmetic
calculations and use of a computer.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to maintain orderly and accessible files.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to greet participants/visitors and handle incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional
manner.
0 Ability to create and maintain computer and hard copy filing systems.
0 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Officials
and general public.
0 Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) months clerical experience or one (1) year training in the
