Inventory Associate
Job Description

The Inventory Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory by following the schedule of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual counts and reconciliations as applicable for the continued accuracy of our warehouse inventory. The Inventory Warehouse Associate will take direction to implement process improvements as needed to create efficiencies, increase accuracy, and track all product movements inside the warehouse. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts inventory pick bin and backstocks cycle counts, documents reconciliation, and investigates and corrects discrepancies
- Works with Operations, Product Intake, and Outbound teams to resolve inaccuracies by analyzing product flow and using problem solving skills
- Maintains knowledge of Ceres database and any technology used in the course of daily job duties
- Performs accurate positive and negative adjustments as needed, utilizing appropriate reason codes for data tracking
- Using strong communication skills, provides Operations, Transportation and other departments with feedback about any issues related to quality, compliance, inventory, etc.
- Leads by example and enforces safety as well as food safety policies
- Adheres to Roadrunner Food Banks Safety policies and mandates from Food Safety and Quality Team
- Provides excellent internal/external customer service
- Treats all stakeholders with respect and sets the same expectation with team members
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
Forklift Certification or capability to complete an OSHA certified forklift training program within 30 days of hire date.
Previous experience using Microsoft Suite of applications (specifically Teams/Outlook)
Comfortable using technology including barcode scanners, data input and working with a product database.
Food Safety Training will be provided.
Literacy skills required.
Excellent Communication Skills.
Independent decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills
Prior experience in a warehouse environment using warehouse power equipment.
Prior experience in an inventory control role.
High School, GED or equivalent preferred but not required.
Prior food handling experience and safety training (e.g. FIFO).
Customer service experience a plus.
Work Environment/Physical Expectations
Daily exposure to cold and freezing temperatures
Repetitive lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive physical movement
Ability to move product in excess of 1000 lbs. with a pallet jack or other appropriate equipment
Musts have the ability to perform physical duties throughout entire shift
