    Location: Tucson Campus

    Pay Rate: $20.67 - $24.71
    CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Systems analysis and troubleshooting
    • Prioritize projects and service requests, and respond appropriately to emergency requests
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems on computer systems, peripherals, and networks
    • Develop, maintain, and update maintenance, licensing and inventory records in a database
    • Work with minimum supervision
    • Develop written communication for both adults and students
    • Maintain confidentiality
    • Follow written and oral instructions
    • Communicate effectively
    • Work effectively within strict timelines and varying stakeholders

    KNOWLEDGE OF:
    • Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
    • Principles and practices of administration and management
    • Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
    • Implementation, troubleshooting and design of data and cloud networking and telecommunications systems
    • Network systems hardware and software management
    • Network infrastructure technologies such as Cisco switches, routers, firewalls
    • Network security and related concepts
    • Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) principles and operation
    • Project coordination and planning
    • Server based hardware technologies and operating systems including virtualization, clustering, security, user configuration
    • Microsoft Server Operating Systems included, but not limited to: Azure, Server, Exchange
    • Google Workspace and Cloud Systems
    • Current technology and trends applicable to a K-12 environment

    TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSING & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and 2+ years of increasingly responsible experience in Network Systems Operations to include design, development and support
    • OR 6+ years of increasingly responsible experience in Network Systems Operations to include design, development and support
    • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Current CompTIA Network+ and Server+ Certificationor ability to obtain
    • Recommended certifications in one or more of the following: Google IT Support Professional, CompTIA Cloud Essentials+, Cisco Certified Networking Professional

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
    • Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business
