Under the direction of Program/Portfolio Director; the Program Manager leads multiple projects and programs, typically interrelated, with high-levels of complexity, risk, ambiguity and visibility in metricized environments. The Program Manager possesses high end subject matter expertise (healthcare, IT, HR, Lawson, Epic, change management). This syntheses of broad knowledge and experience allows the Program Manager to organize all end-to-end aspects of a programs and projects looking for cross project areas for streamlining or optimization. Full Program Manager level knowledge and experience in program / project management fundamentals allows for credibility and successful management of Project Managers and Project Coordinators. The Program Manager ensures and assists Project Managers with program/project documentation, updates, tracking and progress reports. The Program Manager demonstrates innovative and conceptual thinking. She/he seamlessly interfaces with direct reports, internal/external project stakeholders and executive sponsors. The Program Manager is team driven and passionate about management/success of their program(s), project(s) and team members.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 7 years' experience in formal project management, required.
  • 3 years' managing project managers and ancillary staff, required.
  • 5 years' experience in healthcare, PMO, information technology or project related industry, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • Master's Degree, required or required to obtain within 3 years for position retainment
  • Project Management Professional certification, required

Physical Requirements: Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)

This position requires residence within a reasonable driving distance to the Corporate Office. Possible relocation assistance available for external candidates who meet distance requirements.
