POSITION SUMMARY

The It Risk Specialist is a senior staff member in the Information Technology Risk department within Webster Technology. The incumbent will lead and be responsible for one or more IT --o Risk processes, and provide support for all IT Risk processes, as needed.
o Risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) and other risk assessments
o Risk issue and control deficiency assessment
o Technology policy and standards management
o Risk metrics development and management
o IT Risk Framework
o Risk appetite statement (RAS)
o Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) processes
o Risk aggregation platform integration and reporting
o Presentation and communications development to the Webster Board and Board committees

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

o Strong command of risk management principles.
o Ability to guide/facilitate all technology groups toward completion of a goal.
o Familiarity and comfort with information technology (on-premises and in the cloud).
o Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate up, down, and across the organization with internal or external partners.
o Ability to resolve conflicting opinions without compromising high quality risk management.
o Exposure to the process of developing performance and or risk metrics to gauge process and risk control effectiveness preferred.
o Bachelors degree.
o 5+ years of experience in Risk, Audit, or Information Security, preferably in a banking technology environment. Familiarity with FFIEC requirements is a plus.
o CISA, CIA or other auditing or risk management certification is desired. Ability and desire to further skills and obtain relevant certification(s) strongly preferred.
