$18-$20 an Hour **Pay Commensurate with Experience**

Executive Summary of Position:

To provide Level I and II technical support for the AFI Retail Division computer users. Provide training to staff members on proper computer usage and applications as needed. Travel in and out of state as needed to support field operations.

Essential Duties:

  • Install, modify and repair computer hardware and telephony equipment.
  • Create and maintain workstations images in accordance with specifications.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of computer hardware is readily available for deployment.
  • Interface with staff members on all levels in a polite and competent manner projecting a willingness to help.
  • Adeptly manage user accounts across multiple platforms in a consistent manner.
  • Perform a variety of technical work in the installation, de-installation, upgrade and maintenance of computer software and business applications.
  • Travel to branch office locations throughout the United States (as needed) to fulfill branch turn up and turn down requests.
  • Interface with vendors in support of telephone, email, and network operations.
  • Provide occasional on-call support as needed.
  • Support conference room technology including projection and television systems.

Other Duties:

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

Education level preferred is an Associates Degree, preferably with an emphasis in computer science or other computer related discipline. A combination of equivalent education and industry-related experience is acceptable.

Computer Skills required include possessing expert knowledge of:

  • Windows 10 Operating Systems and Microsoft Networks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Computer and peripheral hardware.
  • LAN / WAN including proficiency in TCP / IP.
  • Computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and repair.
  • Operation of complex computer and other technical equipment and peripherals.
  • Network and other low voltage cabling including patch panel punch down and RJ45.

Reasoning Skills required include utilizing technical expertise and good communication skills; use judgment in determining the most appropriate methods and procedures to complete service requests from end-users; evaluate systems and procedures and develop cost-saving alternatives; evaluate computer hardware and software and make appropriate recommendations for repair or replacement of equipment

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time. The employee may be required to crouch, stoop and kneel. Lift and move computer and other equipment up to 60 pounds. Climb ladders, work in drop ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, closets, and other confined spaces. Ability to work in and out doors in temperatures found in the Arizona Desert as well as cold temperatures.
